This page details the hand made custom 'Rossi' guitar built during 2007/2008 for Kevin from Saffron Waldon, Essex. Kevin's guitar is a replica of Rossi's main guitar in its Lace Sensor configuration, i.e. with Lace Sensor pickups and the G&L bridge.

Check out what Kevin thinks of his new Rossi special!

  Kevin's Rossi Replica

As Tony discussed with Kevin on the phone, he will be using a guitar body he had being making for use in Bogus Quo. Tony: 'I was making a Live Aid version for the band, so the body was routed for a standard 2 pickup setup. So its back on the jig for this one!' Tony has made this body out of three pieces of Swamp Ash just as per the real thing!

The 'Rossi' neck is taking shape... ..maple with a maple finger board. The neck is now shaped and the dots are in place. Note the correct marker spacing at the 12th fret.

Close-up of the headstock. Body and neck. Starting to look like a guitar!

Kevin's Fender Lace Sensor pickups. A G&L saddle lock bridge just like the real thing! Kevin's neck is coming together nicely.

Neck has been sealed, and frets are in.. ... and are being 'dressed'. Kevin's body now in sealer.

Note the neck pickup routing has been extended to facilitate the Lace Sensors. Frets have now been dressed. Fantastic stuff!

Lacquer and transfer applied, and Kevin's neck is now complete

Kevin's body is starting to look the part! At this point Tony has yet to apply the lacquer.

Front wet-flatted Back wet-flatted Front now polished

Back polished Side polished Its finished!

Kevin, its a beauty mate! Shown in grey tweed case... ... and with certificate!
