'I have always prided myself on the fact that Tony Rockett Custom means a totally hand crafted guitar, but this does often mean that my instruments are out of the price range for many of the younger, casual, or inexperienced, musicians out there.

Well that's about to change!

My new Finesse - or Standard - range of guitars will consist of instruments assembled and finished by me, but having made use of part-made bodies (*) and part-made necks.

A whole range of pick-up and bridge options will be available, so customers will be able to select the hardware to fit their budget.

My new range will of course include replicas of the Quo guitars, but even the cheapest of the Quo replica options will crucially retain the key elements of the original guitars. For example, I will not be selling copies of Francis Rossi's main green guitar fitted with a one piece maple neck.

If the guitar should have a two piece maple capped neck, then that's what it will be fitted with. If the body needs to be swamp ash, then swamp ash it is!

Clearly for an exact replica the only option remains a totally hand built guitar, but having researched the availability of part-built necks and part-made bodies that meet with my requirements, I am now in a position to produce these cheaper guitars.

So watch out for these Quo replicas, and other guitars, on this web site, in the shops and on eBay!
