Tony

	Tony is the heart and soul of Bogus Quo. His was the dream, and he remains the main driving force as band leader. So its fitting that he plays the role of the legendary Francis Rossi. ‘I’ve been playing guitar since the age of seven, so that’s far more years now than I care to think about! Like most guitarists of my age, my inspiration was Hank Marvin and the Shadows.’ ‘I’ve been in a number of pro-bands playing original material throughout the 70’s and 80’s, appearing in CIU clubs and the like.’ ‘But I’ve always been a huge Status Quo fan, and putting Bogus Quo together is a dream come true’. Tony’s attention to detail is legendary, and it is this side of the band that sets Bogus Quo apart from other Quo tributes. ‘Well its just got to be right hasn’t it?’ explains Tony, ‘If someone books a Quo tribute then they should expect to see a band playing, sounding and looking as much like the real thing as is possible’. ‘And if you concentrate on getting even the smallest details right, then everything else follows.’
Just check out the amazing Quo replica guitars used on stage by the band, all of which have been hand made by Tony. A fact of which he doesn't like to dwell on: 'I'm a luthier by trade, so its no big deal. Its what I do for a living. It just all comes back to getting every detail right.' So how did the idea for Bogus Quo start?

'First and foremost I've always been a fan, and in my eyes Francis Rossi is a legend. I was playing in a band with Geoff (the original Bogus bass player) and we were getting fed up trying to get through to entertainment secretaries who just wanted to book bands playing the same thing week in, week out. So driving home after a gig one night I said "Lets do a tribute!". ' And the rest as they say, is history! Tony provided us with the following summary:
